Empower 4 Life - Equipping the poor for sustainability in developing countries

Kothapalli Manikyma, aged 39 is married with 4 children and is from a very poor background. Manikyma lost her husband a few years back due to an illness. After the loss of her husband, life became extremely difficult  in trying to provide for her family. To earn an income, Manikyma started labouring work that brought in a small amount of income. With Manikyma's hard work her son aged 20 is now studying at university and one of her children is working in a shop. The family of five live in a small shelter of one room, without an adequate toilet or bathroom however they are managing.
 
 
During this time Manikyma came to know about Empower 4 Life and requested enrollment in the project. After the project manager heard her plight he admitted her to the Empower 4 Life sewing centre. Her family is very happy for her. Manikyma stated "I am very thankful for Empower 4 Life giving me a future and security for life. Through this tailoring course I can support my family in the days to come'.
 
 
 
Mathangi Vijayarani is 27, married with two small children aged 6 and 8. Vijayarani's  husband was doing private electrical work when an accident left one side of his body paralyzed. Vijayarani received help from her parents however survival was extremely tough. During this time Vijayarani heard about Empower 4 Life and enrolled in the sewing centre. Vijayarani is learning remarkably fast. She is very thankful to Empower 4 Life for giving her an opportunity to learn tailoring and become financially supportive to her family.
